Supervisor Nursing - SICU at Mission Hospital Mission Viejo in Mission Viejo, CA. This is a Full Time, 3 Nights - 12 hour shift position.
The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) is a 20 bed critical care unit specializing in neuro and trauma critical care management. We are a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level II Trauma Center, and care for the most complex patients, such as neuro/TBI/Stroke/spinal cord injuries, complex surgeries, trauma, and medical critical care patients.

Under the direction of the nurse manager, director, or executive director, the Charge Nurse / Nursing Supervisor provides an optimal environment and assists in overseeing and directing unit activities and personnel in order to ensure high quality patient care. Plans, organizes, controls, and coordinates the department activities ensuring high quality patient care and efficient, cost‑effective service. Adheres to the ANA Nursing Administration: Scope and Standards of Practice.
Responsibilities Lead the SICU during night shifts, ensuring high‑quality patient care, efficient unit operations, and adherence to nursing standards. Coordinate with nurse managers, directors, and executive directors to plan and control unit activities. Maintain cost‑effective, efficient service delivery while ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
California Registered Nurse License
National Provider BLS certification – American Heart Association
One professional certification in a related area
At least 2 years of recent clinical experience in a specialty area
Charge Nurse / Relief Charge Nurse experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing
Leadership experience

Benefits and Compensation Posted wage range: $67.93 – $107.26 per hour.
