Overview of the Payroll Specialist: Process multi-state, full-cycle payroll accurately and on time. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Manage payroll tax filings, garnishments, benefits deductions, and year-end reporting (W-2s). Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity within the payroll system. Partner with HR, Accounting, and internal stakeholders to address payroll-related questions. Support audits and provide payroll reports as needed. Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is strongly required 3+ years of full-cycle payroll experience Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax compliance, and multi-state payroll processing Experience working with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms MS Excel - Intermediate Strong attention to detail and organized Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment Great communication and follow-through
