HR Manager

Location: Danbury, CT (Hybrid - at least 50% in office)
Schedule: 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm
Pay Range: $75,000-$85,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role

A well-established, family-run manufacturing organization is seeking a hands-on HR Manager to support HR operations across a multi-shift environment. This is a highly visible role supporting employees, supervisors, and leadership through payroll administration, benefits management, employee relations, compliance, and day-to-day HR processes. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and confident managing HR in a manufacturing culture with a diverse workforce.

This role requires someone comfortable owning HR processes independently, including weekly payroll, reporting, and supporting employee inquiries across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and process weekly payroll for multi-shift manufacturing employees

  • Manage benefits administration , including enrollments, changes, and inquiries

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations , providing guidance to supervisors and staff

  • Ensure HR compliance , maintaining accurate documentation, policies, and reporting

  • Support HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and recordkeeping

  • Participate in and help run the internal fairness committee

  • Communicate effectively with a diverse employee population, including Spanish-speaking employees

  • Partner closely with leadership to support HR operations and contribute to a positive work environment

  • Travel quarterly (approximately half a week each quarter, all expenses covered) to collaborate with a partner HR team xrczosw in St. Louis

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years of HR experience

  • Experience in payroll and benefits administration

  • Solid Excel skills and comfort with HR systems

  • Strong organizational and communication abilities

  • Ability to travel quarterly

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Spanish language skills

  • Experience overseeing or helping develop HR processes and policies

  • Previous experience supporting multiple shifts or hourly labor workforces
