Job Description Globally recognized coffee company, headquartered in Seattle, WA, is currently hiring a fully remote Payroll Specialist. This position contributes to the company’s success by preparing and inputting payroll data so that partners are paid accurately and on time. The role is a 10‑month contract with potential extension and supports PST hours, Monday–Friday standard morning shift.
Pay: $24–$25 per hour.
Location: Seattle, WA (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).
Schedule: Standard Monday–Friday morning shift (40 hours a week).
Contract Duration: 7 months to start, potential for extension.
Employment type: W2 through Aston Carter.
Key Responsibilities
Cycle Processing
On and Off Cycle (and separations)
Communication as needed
Validates understanding of communicated guidance
Identifies gaps or enhancements and proposes changes
Guides stakeholders to ensure compliance
Ensures customer understanding of payroll information (partners outside of our team)
Uses best practices on payroll ops processes and escalates concerns
Identifies learning opportunities to enhance expertise
Qualification Requirements
2+ years of payroll experience (the more the better)
SAP (required and must be highlighted on resume)
Experience with Garnishment
Microsoft Suite with Excel experience
Experience in federal/state/local and/or provincial labor, payroll, garnishment, and tax law (bonus)
HR software experience (bonus)
SuccessFactors (preferred)
Smartsheet (preferred)
Attention to detail
