Mobile Director of Nursing (DON) – Legacy Healthcare LLC

Overview The Mobile Director of Nursing will travel to different locations in Iowa that need DON coverage. As the heart of the Clinical Department, you will ensure that residents receive the high standard of care expected at Legacy Healthcare by fostering a positive and inclusive culture, setting and achieving department goals, inspiring your clinical team, creatively solving problems, and overseeing all aspects of the Clinical Department. This position is PRN – as needed – and may require DON, ADON, and/or MDS duties.
Responsibilities • Lead the Clinical Department and secure resident satisfaction and quality care standards. • Inspire and lead clinical staff to achieve department goals. • Travel to assigned locations as needed to provide staffing coverage. • Oversee all aspects of nursing operations and compliance. • Serve as a mentor and advocate for staff and residents.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Science, Nursing or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
Unencumbered State of Iowa Registered Nurse (R.N.) license.
At least 5 years of R.N. experience.
Previous experience managing a nursing department.
Prior Director of Nursing or Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.
