District Business Manager (Gulf Coast Territory – GI Pharma Sales) Join Nestlé Health Science as a District Business Manager to drive sales performance within the Gulf Coast Territory, ideally located in Houston or Austin, TX.

Position Summary The District Business Manager leads a specialized team of specialty sales representatives, provides strategic direction, manages key accounts, and collaborates across functions to achieve revenue growth and market positioning.

Responsibilities

Provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction to specialty sales representatives to exceed performance goals.

Understand account models, key decision makers, influencers, and protocols for each account.

Oversee all area operations, including hiring, staff development, performance management, change management, legal & compliance, resource utilization, and administration.

Co‑coach sales representatives in the field on business acumen, product knowledge, and sales competencies.

Execute a business plan collaboratively with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access based on market trends and brand strategy.

Develop and maintain a strategic Area Business Plan and oversee individual territory plans for direct reports.

Optimize area operating budget to ensure business opportunities and gaps are engaged for growth and profitability.

Monitor area customer and sales trends, adjusting the business plan and call plan as needed.

Communicate regularly with sales leadership and internal partners on performance, insights, and trends.

Maintain sustained relationships with top customers, proactively addressing competitive threats.

Ensure team conducts business in a compliant and legal manner in accordance with Nestlé policies.

Create an energizing and inspiring culture where team members are highly supported and motivated.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related medical field.

Leadership Experience: 3+ years in pharma/medical sales with a proven record of building and retaining high‑performance teams.

Organizational Skills: Experience navigating large organizations and complex decision processes.

Initiative Execution: Successful planning and execution of key corporate initiatives.

Financial Acumen: Strong financial and analytical skills.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM/Veeva, and sales reporting technologies.

Cross‑Functional Experience: Background in Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, and Account Management.

Collaborative Execution: Ability to work with Marketing, Market Access, and Medical Affairs.

Team Inspiration: Proven ability to motivate teams to achieve objectives.

Decision‑Making: Skilled in making complex decisions amid ambiguity.

Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel 75% or more for relationship development.

Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Compensation Approximate pay range: $160,000 – $180,000 base. Final compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
