Clinical Lab Scientist, Generalist OR CGMBS (Contract 1 yr, Sun‑Thurs 1st Shift)
One of San Diego’s leading biotech companies seeks a competent, reliable CLS to join their dynamic team. This 1‑year contract role focuses on high‑complexity assays, offering growth into a senior position.
Responsibilities
Perform molecular genetic testing on clinical specimens using PCR and sequencing (NGS).
Review and report patient results.
Perform quality control and quality assurance activities as required.
Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laboratory, quality, and safety requirements.
Qualifications
Valid California Department of Public Health Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) generalist license or Clinical Genetic Molecular Biology Scientist (CGMBS) license (no exceptions).
3+ years' experience in high‑complexity clinical laboratory testing, preferably in molecular diagnostics.
Experience performing molecular testing (PCR, Microarray, Sanger/NGS sequencing) is a huge plus.
Compensation Estimated range: $36 to $50 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
