Role Overview The Gallery Sales Director will play a pivotal role in driving sales strategy and managing client relationships for one of Palm Beach's premier art galleries. This position requires an exceptional individual who can blend artistic knowledge with business acumen to represent the distinguished works of Veronica Ruiz de Velasco to an international clientele.

Position: Gallery Sales Director Location: 313 Worth Avenue, Palm Beach, Florida

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet gallery revenue targets

Build and maintain relationships with high‑net‑worth collectors, art advisors, and institutional clients

Oversee all aspects of the sales process, from initial client contact through artwork delivery

Create and manage client portfolios, maintaining detailed records of interactions and preferences

Organize and host exclusive events, private viewings, and VIP client receptions

Represent the gallery at major art fairs, including the Hamptons Fine Art Fair and other prestigious events

Collaborate with the artist to understand new works and effectively communicate artistic vision to clients Manage inventory and coordinate with art handlers for proper artwork care and presentation

Supervise and mentor gallery sales staff, ensuring exceptional client service standards

Develop marketing initiatives in collaboration with PR team to enhance gallery visibility

Maintain strong relationships with art world professionals, including critics, curators, and consultants

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Business, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred

Minimum 7–10 years of experience in high‑end art sales, with a proven track record of closing significant sales

Demonstrated experience managing relationships with ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals

Deep knowledge of contemporary art market trends and pricing strategies

Strong understanding of Mexican art history and contemporary art movements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish language proficiency highly desired

Proven experience in organizing high‑profile art events and exhibitions

Strong network within the art community, particularly in Palm Beach and international markets

Proficiency in art gallery management software and CRM systems

Compensation

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
