Lead Nurse Clinician – Oncology Infusion (Full Time Days) – Sign on Bonus Offered Northwestern Memorial Hospital offers you the opportunity to join a leading oncology team as a Lead Nurse Clinician for full‑time daytime infusion services. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $34.50 to $55.20, with placement based on experience and internal equity. Eligible candidates may also receive a sign‑on bonus for external applicants who have not worked at NM in the last year.

Responsibilities

Utilize nursing skills to perform patient assessments via phone or in person and implement nursing interventions.

Initiate and organize patient education for the population served by the department.

Work collaboratively with the general practice team to manage clinical operations.

Provide clinical supervision to assigned inpatient clinicians and program interns.

Ensure all required documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner.

Provide orientation to new clinicians.

Assist in data gathering and interpretation of established monthly quality measures and help develop and implement new quality improvement projects.

Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff, and customers.

Apply customer‑service skills, judgment, independent thinking, and creativity when resolving customer issues.

Handle challenging situations, balance multiple priorities, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally, including public speaking.

Use personal computers and selected software applications, analyze data for decision making, and maintain high confidentiality.

Adapt to changes in work environment, delays, or unexpected events while paying close attention to detail and monitoring own work for accuracy.

Sign‑On Bonus Eligibility Internal employees and rehires who left Northwestern Medicine within the last year are not eligible for the sign‑on bonus. Exception: New graduate internal employees seeking their first licensed clinical position at NM may be eligible depending on the job family.

Qualifications

Required:

Registered Professional Nurse licensure by the State of Illinois and certification in CPR.

Preferred:

Minimum of three years of experience and previous supervisory experience.
