Entry-Level Accountant

We are looking for an entry-level accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Parsippany, New Jersey. This position focuses on accounts payable tasks and requires strong attention to detail and proficiency in SAP. The role is entirely onsite, offering an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the energy and natural resources industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure invoices are properly coded and approved according to company policies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain organized records of financial documents and transactions.
• Utilize SAP software to input, track, and manage payment data.
• Conduct regular reviews of accounts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and support financial operations.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries.
• Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable activities.
• Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
• Proficiency in using SAP or similar financial software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records.
• Ability to work effectively in an onsite team environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and colleagues.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Willingness to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment.
