Job Title: Site ManagerJob Description
The Site Manager will be based in Arlington, VA, and will be an integral part of the project management team focusing on utility-scale solar projects. The role involves coordination with contractors, inspectors, consultants, local counties, and other agencies. The Site Manager will oversee projects from the permitting phase through to closeout and turnover to the operations and maintenance team, ensuring projects are completed efficiently within budget and on schedule.
Responsibilities
Prepare and execute contractor agreements to ensure compliance with project specifications, budget, and schedule.
Conduct annual performance reviews of direct reports.
Manage project cost accounting and project budgets to limit financial risk.
Oversee drawing takeoffs, estimating, and subcontractor agreements.
Coordinate all aspects of the project work, including equipment, materials, subcontractors, and vendors, to ensure successful project implementation.
Collaborate with all project stakeholders to develop and maintain the project schedule.
Maintain professional communication with subcontractors, equipment and material vendors, owners, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
Contribute to efforts to resolve drawing conflicts and coordinate with project consultants and site managers.
Manage the closeout efforts of projects, including commissioning, training, warranties, and operation and maintenance manuals for turnover to the operations and maintenance department.
Essential Skills
Experience managing mechanical, electrical, and civil firms.
Ability to track schedule, budget, and performance of the site.
Knowledge of solar, utilities, construction, and transmission projects.
Experience in utility-scale solar projects and working for owner/developer/EPC.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with site management and construction management.
Familiarity with utility-scale, mostly transmission level projects.
Work Environment The Site Manager will work on projects throughout Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, traveling once a month or more as needed. The role includes support for utility-scale projects, mostly at the transmission level. The company offers medical, vision, and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, and commuter benefits. Site managers typically work 50 hours per week. The company provides a truck for site managers, coordinates vehicle pick-up and drop-off, and includes a gas card. Hotel expenses are covered upfront, and meal expenses are directly charged to the account.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $67.31/hr.
