1.0 FTE, Full time, Day‑08 Hour, Onsite. Facility: Management – Palo Alto Hospital Business & Administration, Palo Alto, CA, 300 Pasteur Dr.

Brief Overview Under the direction of the Manager, assist managing projects and programs that support the Stanford Hospital and Clinics organization. Provide leadership in financial management, human resources, communications, purchasing, inventory management, and other department support. Coordinate project activities, serve as liaison to customers and other departments, and build strong relationships with support departments and vendors.

What You Will Do

Manage project scheduling, reporting, and documentation; ensure resources are used appropriately.

Provide leadership on individual projects, facilitate workshops and committee meetings, and present results.

Offer administrative support and expertise in processes and paperwork flow within Stanford Hospital and Clinics.

Assist with human resources & recruitment: provide policy and procedure guidance, coordinate hiring, conduct orientations, and review HealthStream course compliance.

Oversee supplies and inventory: allocate equipment, conduct periodic inventory reviews, prepare reports, and monitor cost management.

Coordinate events and departmental support requests (communications, housekeeping, engineering, maintenance).

When required, participate in additional projects and duties within requested timelines.

Education Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience Qualifications

Two to five years of experience interacting with clients, customers, or patients in a complex environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Extensive knowledge of hospital and clinic organization preferred.

Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Ability to manage multiple changing priorities.

Can work independently or collaboratively with direction.

Skilled at independently obtaining information and exercising good judgment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Professional appearance and composure with all individuals.

Responsibility for assigned duties and accuracy in file management.

Utilizes critical thinking and time‑management principles for effective work plans.

Interest in learning new software programs as required.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office equipment.

Follows safety policies, incorporates ergonomic principles in work habits.

Base Pay Scale Generally starting at $43.77 – $56.90 per hour. Final compensation will be based on internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
