Position: Sr. Project Manager (Supply Chain Mgmt)
Employment Type: On‑Going Contract (12+ months)
Location: Hybrid – Torrance, CA 90501 (Onsite 4 days a week)
Pay Rate: $77.75 per hour (W2 Only)
Must be local or willing to relocate at your own expense.
Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and close projects, defining scope, building comprehensive work plans, and managing budgets.
Drive project progress while ensuring alignment with IT management.
Provide status reporting to IT and business management.
Develop requirements analysis, design documentation, and testing plans.
Manage supplier collaboration projects on procurement side, including EDI transactions for forecasting, purchase order, and ASN.
Ideal Candidate Experience
7+ years as an IT Project Manager with extensive experience implementing Supply Chain Mgmt systems/applications and processes.
5+ years managing IT projects with scope, schedule, forecast, and budget control.
Experience with end‑to‑end SCM systems (Blue Yonder, SAP, Oracle, etc.) for automotive service parts or other consumer products.
Background in forecasting/ordering, inventory receiving, storage, shipping (WMS), and dealer/distributor fulfillment processes.
Familiar with mainframe interface integration or mainframe environments.
Experience transitioning from Waterfall to Agile methodology.
Strong business analysis skills—requirements analysis, design documentation, testing.
Strong technical aptitude across multi‑tier and cross‑platform architectures.
Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills with ability to update all levels of the organization.
Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of EDI (electronic data interchange), MFT (managed file transfer), and ETL (extract‑transform‑load) processes.
Experience with WMS.
PMP certification.
Experience with Blue Yonder SCM applications.
