Job Summary As a Supervisory Sales Associate you will be the face of our company to both the associates and our customers. You will highlight our brand, build our reputation, assist customers in recognizing the need for our products and services, and lead a team to create a positive and productive work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Proactively engage and connect with customers; ask questions and listen to their needs.

Direct customers to merchandise, inform them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, and STAR card.

Provide premier customer service and build inclusive, respectful relationships.

Maintain store appearance and credit sales environment.

Cross‑sell, upsell, and suggest products based on customer needs.

Use point‑of‑sale system to process cash, discounts, gift cards, credit, debit, and handle cash accurately.

Complete paperwork, reports, and inventory reconciliation.

Lead inventory management, check‑in merchandise, ticket merchandise, conduct periodic inventories, and protect cash and fixed assets.

Prioritize projects, manage merchandise and inventory assignments.

Adhere to the assigned work schedule and complete assignments accurately.

Provide effective leadership, direct training, and motivate associates; coach and give timely feedback.

Provide direction on assignments, train sales associates, and give input to the Department Manager about associate performance.

May open and close locations and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Moderate to solid knowledge of products and merchandise.

1‑2 years retail or relevant experience; 1 year supervisory experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer interaction skills.

Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Basic math functions and ability to make change in American monetary units.

Ability to multi‑task, remain flexible, work as part of a team, and handle escalated exchanges.

Physical Demands & Work Hours Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and ladder climbing. Vision: close, color, depth perception, focus adjustment. Lift 25–50 lbs. Works indoors and may be outdoors.

Work Hours: Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Experience General Experience: 1 year clerical office or retail sales store work with satisfactory performance. Specialized Experience: 1 year progressively responsible experience in retail sales performing duties that constitute the principal work of this position. Substitution of Education for Experience: Study completed at a college, university, or junior college above high school level may be substituted for one‑half academic year of study for 6 months of experience.
