Job Summary As a Supervisory Sales Associate you will be the face of our company to both the associates and our customers. You will highlight our brand and image while building our reputation as a company that values its customers and their opinions. You will assist customers in recognizing the need for our products and services. You will also be a team leader ensuring the work environment is positive and productive.
Responsibilities Customer Service
Proactively engage and make a connection with customers.
Ask questions and listen to customers' needs.
Direct customers to merchandise informing them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card.
Provide premier customer service.
Organization
Maintain store appearance.
Sales
Cross‑sell products and understand store layout.
Make suggestions to customers on latest trends and current promotions based on individual needs.
Upsell products.
Learn product features, keep up with latest trends, leverage company tools and technology to confidently provide product knowledge specs.
Process cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards, and handle cash including counting money and returning accurate amounts to customer.
Complete various forms of paperwork, reports, and reconciliation.
Inventory
Keeper of merchandise; complete all inventory processes and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Participate in periodic inventories.
Secure cash, fixed assets, and merchandise inventory.
Provide direction on assignments, including prioritizing projects, tasks, managing merchandise and inventory.
Dependability
Adhere to assigned work schedule.
Accurate and complete follow-through on work assignments.
Supervisory Leadership
Provide effective leadership; demonstrate ability to direct, train, and motivate associates.
Set a positive example.
Provide coaching and feedback timely and professionally.
Provide direction on work assignments and training to sales associates.
Provide input to Department Manager on associate performance.
May open/close locations.
Qualities and Experience
Product Knowledge: Moderate level of knowledge of products and merchandise.
Training: Provide training documentation to sales associates on product features.
1–2 years of retail or relevant work experience required; 1 year of lead or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents.
Basic math functions and ability to use calculator.
Ability to make change in American monetary units.
Reasoning ability; ability to multi-task while remaining flexible.
Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
Ability to defuse escalated exchanges and create win‑win situations.
Physical Demands and Work Environment This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Involves lifting at least 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs in some departments. Work typically performed indoors but may be assigned outdoors depending on location.
Location United States – Hawaii – Honolulu
Schedule Full‑time (35 + hours). Available to work a variety of hours which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
