IWS Family Health
IWS is seeking a pediatrician to deliver high-quality medical care responsive to evolving community health needs. The position is primarily clinical (90%) with 10% administrative duties, and is open to full-time, part-time, or flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities
Deliver patient-centered care in an FQHC-like setting via in-person and telehealth visits.
Conduct well-child visits, immunizations, developmental screenings, and acute care visits.
Diagnose and manage pediatric illnesses, chronic conditions, and behavioral concerns.
Participate in a 24-hour call rotation with other providers.
Review laboratory, referral, and emergency room discharge results, and follow up appropriately.
Collaborate with nurses, behavioral health, dental providers, clinical support staff, and specialists to ensure comprehensive care.
Assist in education of patients, residents, medical students, and staff as appropriate.
Apply continuous quality improvement to care and participate in quality initiatives.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health records (EHR).
Participate in community outreach events as needed.
Adhere to FQHC regulatory requirements.
Collaborate to ensure compliance with IWS funding and grant requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
MD or DO from an accredited institution.
Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
Current NPI and DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start).
Current BLS and CPR certification (PALS preferred).
Experience or strong interest in community health and underserved populations.
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records, eCW preferred.
Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team, including dental, behavioral health, speech therapy, and nursing.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Spanish proficiency preferred.
Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $150,000 – $210,000, depending on experience.
