Director of Finance up to $220,000/yr

A prominent firm in real estate investment and private equity is looking for a Director of Finance. This role will manage corporate accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and investment activities across both real estate and private equity portfolios. The position carries significant leadership responsibilities, overseeing operations at the corporate, fund, property, and tax levels, with opportunities to expand as new funds are introduced.

Responsibilities

Supervise corporate accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance for corporate entities and real estate assets

Manage accounting and reporting processes for open-ended funds and REITs

Lead and develop the finance team, including the Corporate Controller, Assistant Controller, and AP/AR Managers

Ensure proper oversight of internal controls, audits, and SEC compliance for real estate and fund operations

Analyze and review quarterly financial statements and ensure compliance with debt covenants for real estate funds

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required

10+ years of real estate accounting experience

Experience in REITs, open-ended funds, and partnership taxes is mandatory

CPA preferred
