Larkin South Miami Campus Position Summary The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing key HR functions that support the organization’s strategic goals. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws; drives effective HR policies and procedures; and partners with leadership to promote a positive, equitable, and high-performing workplace culture. The HR Manager supervises the day-to-day operations of the HR department, provides guidance to staff and leadership, and supports organizational development initiatives. Key Responsibilities 1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, interviews, and selection processes. Partner with hiring managers to ensure consistent and compliant hiring practices. Oversee onboarding/orientation to support employee engagement and retention. 2. Employee Relations Serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders regarding workplace concerns, conflict resolution, and HR policies. Conduct investigations in accordance with legal and organizational standards. Promote positive employee relations, communication, and engagement initiatives. 3. Compliance & Policy Administration Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.). Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies. Oversee proper documentation, personnel records, and confidentiality procedures. Assist in administering compensation plans and recommending adjustments based on market trends. Manage benefit programs, including open enrollment, vendor communication, and employee education. Monitor PTO/DTO and leave administration processes. 5. Performance Management & Development Support leadership in the administration of performance evaluations and improvement plans. Facilitate training and development programs to enhance leadership and staff competencies. Identify opportunities for organizational development and culture improvement. 6. HR Operations & Reporting Supervise HR staff and coordinate day-to-day HR operations. Utilize HRIS systems for accurate reporting, data integrity, and process improvements. Provide workforce analytics, dashboards, and metrics to leadership as needed. 7. Strategic HR Support Partner with leadership on workforce planning, retention strategies, and organizational goals. Assist with succession planning and internal mobility initiatives. Support diversity, equity, inclusion, and compliance initiatives. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity preferred. HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data reporting. Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and lead HR operations effectively. Working Conditions Standard office environment with regular business hours. Requires travel to other sites/facilities within the Health System. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally (files, office materials).
