Salesforce Agentforce Developer
Multiyear Contract. Hybrid—one day a week in MD/DC/VA client offices. Candidates must reside in the local DMV area. W2 Hourly Pay Rate: $50/hr.
ALTA IT Services has a 12‑month+ contract opening for a Salesforce Agentforce Developer to support a respected health insurance customer. This is a hybrid position with weekly or bi‑weekly office days at the client’s Maryland, DC, and/or Northern Virginia offices (varies).
The Salesforce Agentforce Developer will be responsible for the design and development of Salesforce applications for claims data processing systems in the healthcare domain by understanding requirements, coding, testing, and debugging applications. Primary accountability for development work occurs during the life cycle of those projects, from planning to implementation. The developer will provide high‑quality productions that are reviewed and approved by the client, and will provide technical oversight and support to IT project teams in order to deliver high‑quality products for business needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
50% Salesforce Application development – Develop efficient productions, serve as a developer for new and enhancement of existing applications, communicate with team members, develop, review, deploy code, maintain code, support D2D request and debugging issues, publish technical documents and knowledge sharing.
20% Design of system/Analysis requirement implementation to new/existing systems – Understand requirements and current systems, develop solutions based on requirements, study new Salesforce features and releases to improve performance.
20% Testing/Technical Support – Develop unit testing code, support automation testing, troubleshoot and debug issues, provide resolutions, support D2D and development in various environments.
10% Collaborate to drive business value – Work closely with other development team members, project manager, and product managers to ensure applications are developed properly, deliver on time with high‑quality products.
QUALIFICATIONS
Salesforce application development experience, Agentforce 360.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related IT field, or equivalent work experience.
+1 year of experience in building, deploying, and supporting Salesforce applications and platform solutions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Experience with Salesforce application development.
Experience with web programming, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with custom solutions on the Salesforce platform, working with Lightning Web Components, Apex Triggers, Apex Classes, Flow, Visualforce, SOQL.
Experience building REST APIs for external system integrations.
Experience with object‑oriented programming design patterns and Salesforce data modeling best practices.
Experience developing reporting and dashboards in Salesforce.
Experience with JIRA or Agile platform for collaborating with multiple teams and source control systems like Git/SVN.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and business stakeholders.
Experience in multi‑cloud architectures and AWS cloud development is a plus.
Experience in a call center setup within Salesforce is a plus.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines like Copado; knowledge is a plus.
Understanding & knowledge of AI is a plus.
Agentforce 360 experience & knowledge is a plus.
Development using an AI tool like Agentforce DX; agentforce vibes are a plus.
Data 360 experience or knowledge is a plus.
Integration with other SaaS systems is a plus.
