Main activities and responsibilities Reporting organizationally to the Non – Competition Venue Catering Manager, the Catering Client Services Specialist will play a key role in the FIFA26 Operations team. This individual will work in close collaboration with the Catering Managers with a focus on Workforce and Volunteer catering operations for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Alongside other key individuals responsible for delivering catering efforts for the FIFA World Cup 2026. A movement that for the first time ever, is hosting 48 teams and 1,200+ players across 3 countries and 16 venues. This role will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of non-Hospitality operations, ensuring top-quality catering services throughout the tournament.
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Catering Specialist for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
Support the implementation of a “food-safe” catering programme to all relevant user groups with a focus to Workforce and Volunteer groups.
Work closely with internal departments (e.g., Workforce, Volunteer Management, Logistics) to align catering operations with shift patterns, meal windows, and service expectations for Workforce and Volunteers.
Assist with the development and management of catering budgets, tracking expenses, analysing financial data to maintain cost control and achieve financial targets.
Collaborate with sustainability initiatives, aiming to minimize waste, promote eco-friendly practices, and source local, sustainable ingredients.
Contribute to centralized reporting efforts by collecting and updating key operational metrics, including meals produced, meals consumed, wastage levels, and incident reports.
Assist in the development of centralized reporting to track key performance indicators.
Support the monitoring, tracking, and updating of real-time changes to Banquet Event Orders across venues to ensure financial accuracy and optimized consolidation.
Facilitate seamless communication between the centralized office and venue teams.
Focus on supporting Workforce and Volunteer Management to deliver an exceptional tournament within the food and beverage experience.
Support the non-competition venues, ensuring a commendable experience in areas such as airports while the Workforce and Volunteer teams assist in delivering too an exceptional experience for our Teams and VVIP’s.
Participate in the preparation of post-tournament reports, evaluating catering operations for Workforce and Volunteers, identifying successes and areas for improvement, while providing recommendations for future events.
YOUR PROFILE Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or similar level of higher education in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, Data Analytics
Group Training Certificate or equivalent qualification
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Catering, Hospitality, Culinary fields, and/or Data Analytics (preferably within a Major sporting event or Stadium background)
Multi-outlet catering management experience is essential
Proficient in reporting with experience in extensive Excel, PowerBI, data management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure smooth catering operations during fast-paced events
Excellent attention to detail
Customer-centric approach and demeanor
Languages
Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
Technology
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
