Associate Attorney – Litigation (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)
An established firm based in Ft. Lauderdale with over 25 years in practice seeks an Associate Attorney with 1‑3 years of experience to join the team onsite or hybrid.
This attorney will have experience in personal injury, auto accident, construction defect, professional liability, and/or general liability litigation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while representing clients throughout the litigation process.
Compensation & Benefits Salary: $165,000 - $1850,000
Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and a competitive bonus structure.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in California.
1‑3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or related areas.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to bill 1,980 hours minimum, report to clients, and manage time with minimal training.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in personal injury cases, providing legal advice and support throughout the litigation process.
Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and prepare for trial.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop effective case strategies.
Manage case files and maintain accurate records of case progress and documentation.
Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as required.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation.
