People Systems Analyst Hybrid location.

The People Systems Analyst supports, maintains, and enhances HR-related systems and applications, with a primary focus on timekeeping and workforce administration. The analyst gathers, analyzes, and documents functional business requirements; formulates and defines system scope and objectives for moderately complex business needs; and identifies opportunities for process improvements that may involve workflow enhancements or policy and procedural updates. The role is responsible for planning and executing testing for system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations, while also assisting with the development of project plans, documentation, training materials, and end‑user support resources. In addition, the analyst provides front‑line support by troubleshooting system issues and coordinating with technical teams and vendors to resolve problems. Working across HR, payroll, and related functions, the analyst contributes to cross‑functional initiatives that address both business process and system‑related issues, applying professional knowledge of HR systems and timekeeping processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and reliability of data.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds.

Intermediate knowledge of related areas of IT.

Self‑motivated and works independently and as part of a team; able to learn effectively and meet deadlines; demonstrates problem‑solving skills.

General knowledge of business and process analysis functions.

Knowledge relating to software design.

Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.

Skills associated with analysis of processes and issues of moderate scope, information flow and architecture.

Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate technical information to technical and non‑technical personnel at various levels in the organization.

Knowledge of HR policies, practices, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply them in system and process design.

Demonstrated competency with and commitment to fostering fairness, respect, and inclusion in alignment with the Principles of Community.

Job offer is contingent upon satisfactory clearance based on background check results.

This position has been identified as a Mandated Reporter pursuant to the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and requires immediate reporting of physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, or neglect of anyone under the age of 18.

Overtime and weekends may be required.

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $71,600 - $127,400 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%).
