Executive Assistant, Amazon Public Policy

Amazon is seeking a bright and motivated Administrative Professional with a strong history of high performance to support our Vice President, International Public Policy and Government Affairs. The role is based in Seattle, sits within a small executive office team, and helps support the needs of our wider international public policy teams across Europe, Middle East, Africa, India, and wider Asia Pacific. In this role, you will support the effectiveness and efficiency, both internally and externally, of the VP and her global team.
This role requires excellent Executive Assistant and administrative professional skills, alongside meticulous attention to detail, smart prioritization, calm agility amidst fast‑paced internal and external developments, and comfort working within high levels of change and ambiguity. You will be trusted to handle confidential and sensitive information, will take high ownership of timely deliverables, and be able to work professionally with wider senior business executives and public policy stakeholders. You will contribute proactively to embedding a happy, high‑performing, and happening culture across multiple teams and time zones.
You will have exceptionally strong written language skills, experience of working successfully across culturally and linguistically diverse teams, and experience of managing international travel administration. Experience in Public Policy work or similar public/consumer‑facing activity will be helpful for successful adaptation to the work, cadence, and expectations of the team.
This role requires five (5) days a week in office.
Key job responsibilities
Managing complex and frequently changing calendaring and scheduling requirements; preempting and triaging competing incoming demands
Implementing domestic and international travel arrangements
Coordinating constructively with business partners and external customers in the planning of internal and external meetings and events, including supporting team summits and leadership meetings
Tracking and driving key team deliverables
Partnering collaboratively with fellow executive assistants, locally and globally
You will be familiar with emerging AI tools and capabilities, and committed to experimenting with and driving opportunities for AI‑based efficiency gains
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of executive assistant experience
Experience with executive level calendar management
Experience with domestic or international travel coordination
Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
Experience handling confidential information
Experience in English‑language communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with AI/ML technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing multiple calendars, or experience managing multiple complex calendars, planning and organizing events of all sizes, and coordinating domestic and international travel
Experience working in fast paced environments, and managing workload even during times of stress, or escalated activity
Experience in working directly with government officials and regulatory bodies
Experience working with global cross‑functional teams
Experience communicating results to senior leadership, or experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
Can use AI for legal research, contract analysis, or document review experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
