Description Our customer is looking for a desktop support technician to provide onsite support at their San Francisco location. This person will be the sole IT technician providing support to 15 employees. Being in a customer support role, you will have the opportunity to learn existing business processes and provide technology feedback and suggestions to the team. This person will be responsible for providing level 1‑2 onsite technical support; if an issue cannot be resolved, it can be escalated to the team in Baltimore. There will be opportunities to be proactive in support resolution by finding ways to enhance efficiency and quality of service to the customer’s colleagues. Day‑to‑day this person will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware/software issues, imaging and upgrading devices in an O365 and Windows 10 environment. Interpersonal skills are extremely important for this role; they are looking for someone who is comfortable providing face‑to‑face support.

Customer oriented – Deliver high‑level customer support and training to employees at all levels, explain and resolve complex technical issues to a non‑technical audience, and act as the face of the Technology Team.

A self‑starter – Respond quickly to operational tasks, identify opportunities for process improvement, prioritize tasks, work independently and remotely, and supervise vendor visits to ensure site work is completed.

A natural problem solver – Identify challenges, analyze root causes, understand the rationale behind current setups, and propose changes to improve where needed.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Francisco, CA.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 – $47.00/hr.
