Sr Project Manager - Affordable Housing - Brooklyn

Salary Range:
$180,000 to $225,000
Overview A well established construction management firm is seeking an experienced Sr PM to lead largescale residential and affordable housing projects in New York City. The ideal candidate has experience with tenant-in-place renovations, NYCHA or other public sector projects, and a strong understanding of local building codes and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
Oversee all phases of construction from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Coordinate the work of subcontractors, consultants, and field staff to maintain project efficiency.
Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and progress reports for both internal teams and clients.
Review drawings and specifications, prepare scopes of work, and assist in bid evaluations.
Manage permitting, inspections, and project documentation in line with city and agency requirements.
Monitor quality control and safety programs to ensure compliance with all standards.
Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication between ownership, design teams, and field operations.
Identify issues early and provide proactive solutions to minimize disruptions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
10 or more years of experience managing construction projects, with a focus on affordable housing, NYCHA, or mixed use developments.
Strong understanding of union and prevailing wage requirements.
Excellent organizational, budgeting, and leadership skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
Familiarity with NYC building codes, DOB requirements, and permitting processes.
