Cloud Solution Architect and Cloud Adoption Champion —partnering directly with a leading federal agency to lead and accelerate cloud adoption for their mission-critical systems.
This is a hybrid position that involves 3 days a week in-office work and/or meetings at the client site.
Candidates must be based in the greater Washington DC area.

You won’t just design solutions—you’ll empower a world‑class team, mentor stakeholders, and ensure government compliance while building a lasting, strategic partnership between Oracle and your federal customer.
Responsibilities
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with federal technical leaders to assess their needs, uncover challenges, and define the roadmap for secure, high-performing cloud adoption.
Guide customers through every phase: presales solutioning, architecture design, implementation, and post-launch optimization—owning success from start to finish.
Architect and implement advanced data platforms, drawing on deep expertise in Oracle Database, Oracle Exadata and Engineered Systems, AI-powered data analytics, and disaster recovery solutions.
Lead collaborative design sessions and present innovative Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services—spanning compute, storage, networking, data integration, security, and AI-driven data services—to a range of stakeholders, from executive leadership to technical subject matter experts.
Ensure strict compliance with federal security and governance standards (FedRAMP, CJIS, and others).
Deliver comprehensive technical documentation, actionable migration plans, and compelling business cases for long-term modernization, resilience and data-driven decision-making.
Mentor and coach client teams as they navigate the cloud journey, ensuring value realization and ongoing technical excellence.
Strategically position Oracle for long-term growth within this marquee federal account—your impact will be visible and measurable.
Travel up to 30% as needed.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship (required for federal engagement).
5+ years of deep, hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, Architecture, or Delivery, with a strong focus on cloud data platforms and large-scale application/database migrations. Must be experienced with Exadata.
Expertise in Oracle Cloud (OCI) or another major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP); background with Oracle bare metal and Engineered Systems is a significant plus.
Demonstrated success in leading cloud modernization initiatives for federal or regulated clients, with a background in designing, migrating, and optimizing secure, complex architectures.
Strong knowledge of cloud security concepts, identity management, and access control; clear understanding of federal compliance requirements.
Outstanding ability to communicate, influence at the executive level, and deliver compelling technical and strategic guidance.
Proficiency crafting architecture documentation, migration plans, proposals, and solution estimates.
Relevant cloud certifications (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP) are a major advantage.
Possession of required immunization and occupational health mandates for certain US client-facing roles.
