ABOUT THE ROLE Our client, a Fortune 500 banking organization, is seeking a Junior IT Project Manager to support vendor applications in Charlotte, NC. This full-time, hybrid position is ideal for recent graduates from universities or bootcamps, veterans, or individuals with up to one year of professional IT experience who are interested in technology and project management. As a Junior IT Project Manager, you will play an integral role in developing and improving processes, maintaining up-to-date documentation, managing audits, and supporting external vendor relationships. You will facilitate communication between teams and stakeholders, ensure compliance with organizational standards, and drive process improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for growth into delivery or project management roles within the IT sector.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage and maintain documentation for vendor-supported applications
Ensure compliance with organizational standards and processes
Facilitate communication between teams and stakeholders to resolve issues and remove blockers
Drive process development and improvement initiatives
Meet with stakeholders to understand application requirements and standards
Maintain clear records for audits and internal reviews
Communicate effectively during audits and represent the team with confidence
Support management of external vendor relationships
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR equivalent experience (bootcamp graduates welcome)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to engage with technical teams
Familiarity with project tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
Professional IT experience (preferred)
Basic understanding of IT project management principles (preferred)
Interest in technology and desire to grow into delivery or project management roles (preferred)
Positive attitude and strong aptitude for learning
Excellent interpersonal skills for team facilitation
Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
