Senior Director, HR Business Partner (Product & Design) Location: Seattle. Hybrid working policy of three days in office per week.
Expedia Group is seeking a strategic Senior Director, HR Business Partner to support our Product division. In this role, you’ll work closely with executives to advance both business outcomes and our people agenda, fostering a high‑performance culture through innovative HR solutions.
Responsibilities
Work closely with People Business Partners and the global People team to ensure the client group achieves their talent agenda goals, including talent identification, succession planning, and future‑oriented organizational capabilities.
Drive high performance and supportive culture within the team you support.
Embed Expedia Group Culture and Enterprise Leader behaviors across the business.
Use effective strategies to enable the organization to thrive through periods of change and provide coaching that helps leaders develop and grow.
Guide organizational design and change management strategies, implementing processes, policies, and guidelines for conducting organizational reviews and improving alignment.
Provide support to peers within the People team in India to support culture and community.
Partner closely with executive leaders to define the overall talent and business strategy, anticipating long‑term people needs and translating business plans into HR program objectives.
Drive informed decision‑making using data to identify trends, resolve root causes, and develop effective solutions.
Leverage deep expertise to optimize linkages between structure, people, process, and technology.
Work closely with business leaders to define the human resource structure, identifying workforce planning needs, leadership and management gaps, skillsets for the future, and implementing best‑practice HR solutions to facilitate optimal performance.
Experience and Qualifications
14+ years relevant experience in HR or People Business Partner roles.
Experience designing end‑to‑end talent agenda, organizational design & development, and delivering global transformation programs.
Analytical thinker and strategic problem‑solver, capable of cutting through complexity and turning high‑level business requirements into specific initiatives.
Biased to action, familiar with methods and approaches needed to get things done in a collaborative, lean and fast‑paced environment.
Ability to execute a plan using data to consult and inform along the way and make sound prioritization decisions.
Proven strategic advisor or consultant experience.
Natural bar‑raiser: curious and passionate about the business context and leadership growth, building strong relationships by being an inspiring and approachable leader.
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $261,500.00 to $366,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $418,500.00, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
