Overview
A critical aspect of this role involves close collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture team, contributing to and upholding enterprise standards, alongside managing operational governance processes and demand through platforms like ServiceNow. \ Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership, Governance & Operational Process Management
Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, best practices, and enterprise guidelines.
Actively participate in the definition, implementation, and management of architectural governance processes and standards.
Oversee the operational aspects of the architectural review board (ARB) process, ensuring solutions are reviewed, approved, and compliant with architectural principles.
Crucially, you will engage proactively with solution architects from other domains (e.g., Retail, Digital, Data, etc.) to review their architectural proposals, ensuring consistency with enterprise architectural governance, principles, and established processes.
Manage and optimize the architectural demand management process, leveraging tools like ServiceNow to streamline requests, approvals, and portfolio tracking.
Establish and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and development frameworks, including documentation and communication.
Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with approved designs.
Manage technical risk and technical debt, proposing strategies for their mitigation and incorporating them into ongoing operational planning.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
Effectively communicate complex architectural decisions, strategies, and governance policies to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
Qualifications Experience in digital and retail space, ecommerce, B2B, data
5-8 years of experience
Professional Experience:
12 to 15 years of progressive experience in solution architecture roles, with at least 5-7 years in a Senior or Principal Solution Architect position.
Industry Expertise:
Proven and deep experience within the Retail, E-commerce (B2C), and B2B industries, understanding their business models, challenges, and technological opportunities.
Data Expertise:
Significant experience in data architecture, including data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT, relational and NoSQL databases, and data streaming platforms.
Architectural Governance & Operational Experience:
Demonstrable experience in architectural governance, including defining processes, managing architectural reviews, and ensuring compliance with enterprise standards. Proven track record in managing demand and processes within an IT Service Management (ITSM) framework, ideally with hands‑on experience using ServiceNow.
Collaboration with Enterprise Architecture:
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Enterprise Architecture teams, contributing to and leveraging enterprise roadmaps and frameworks.
Robust Technical Skills
Proficiency in software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices (microservices, APIs, event‑driven architectures).
Extensive experience with leading E‑commerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, etc.) and/or B2B systems.
Deep expertise in at least one, and strong familiarity with multiple, major cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with Salesforce ecosystems (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud) and their integration patterns.
Practical experience with ServiceNow for IT demand management, service catalog, or related ITSM/ITBM modules.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation.
Understanding of application and data security, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required. Master's degree is a plus.
