Overview
Our client is looking to fill the role of Solutions Architect. The Solutions Architect will play a critical role in delivering and governing enterprise‑scale architecture solutions across digital, retail, e‑commerce, B2B, and data domains. This role requires close collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture team to uphold enterprise standards, manage architectural governance, and oversee operational demand processes using platforms such as ServiceNow.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
Participate in defining, implementing, and managing architectural governance frameworks and standards.
Oversee the Architecture Review Board (ARB) process to ensure solutions are reviewed, approved, and compliant.
Collaborate with Solution Architects across domains (Retail, Digital, Data, etc.) to ensure architectural consistency and governance adherence.
Manage and optimize architectural demand management processes using ServiceNow.
Establish and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and development frameworks.
Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment.
Identify, manage, and mitigate technical risk and technical debt.
Communicate complex architectural strategies and governance decisions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, aligning business objectives with technical solutions.
Required Qualifications Professional Experience
12–15 years of progressive experience in solution architecture roles.
5–7 years in a Senior or Principal Solution Architect capacity.
Industry Expertise
Strong experience in Retail, E‑commerce (B2C), and B2B environments.
Deep understanding of business models, challenges, and technology landscapes in these domains.
Data & Platform Expertise
Experience with data architecture including data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, relational and NoSQL databases, and streaming platforms.
Strong background in architectural governance, ARB processes, and ITSM frameworks.
Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow for demand management, ITSM, or ITBM.
Technical Skills
Software architecture principles and design patterns (Microservices, APIs, Event‑driven architecture).
Experience with leading e‑commerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, etc.).
Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience with Salesforce ecosystems (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud) and integration patterns.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
Knowledge of application and data security, including GDPR and CCPA compliance.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Master’s degree is a plus.
Soft Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Proven leadership, mentoring, and influencing skills.
Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, cross‑functional, and multicultural environments.
