Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position in California, requiring 3 years of L&D experience and California RN licensure.
Responsibilities Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital Patient care includes laboring mothers and postpartum women Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00 Must be flexible to work weekends as required by contract length Float to Mother Baby Unit as needed May be required to float to other facilities within the state Utilizes Epic EMR system Scrub color is any color Provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients Support and educate patients and families throughout the birthing process Team environment with potential to float to similar units at other facilities First-time travelers are welcome Free parking is available RTO (time off) requests must be included at time of application Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Travelers cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
Requirements Active CA RN license required Minimum of 3 years current L&D nursing experience Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Former permanent staff must have a 3-month separation before applying as a traveler Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of L&D employment within the last three years Epic EMR experience required Precepting skills preferred
