Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Repair Superintendent to drive productivity and the performance of repair projects for the branch and customers. The Repair Superintendent will be responsible for the repair business, including field operations, customer satisfaction and overall general business management.
Responsibilities
Lead field operations for all elevator repair and testing.
Meet project deadlines and financial performance targets including profit and working capital.
Conduct field education training to maintain a safe working environment.
Perform field safety audits, jobsite inspections, and develop site safety/logistics plans.
Coordinate material deliveries and issue purchase orders.
Develop and maintain professional and productive relationships with co‑workers, field employees, clients and others in contact with the job.
Forecast and schedule labor resources to ensure successful project completion and improve efficiencies.
Accurately analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimates.
Qualifications
5+ years of elevator industry experience or experience leading field level associates/technicians in a similar industry.
5+ years in the elevator field, a trade certificate, and/or a university degree in engineering.
Ability to work in a highly team‑oriented and dynamic environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers.
Self‑motivated and able to manage multiple simultaneous projects and responsibilities.
Comfortable with a technical environment utilizing Microsoft‑based computer software.
Strong leadership skills and goal orientated with strong time management and organizational skills.
