Job Summary
Must have HVAC Certification to be considered for this position.
Assists and acts in the absence of the Chief Engineer to oversee the functionality and safety of the facility.
Directs general construction and the installation, maintenance and repair of all electrical, mechanical and architectural systems throughout the facility to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Assigns, verifies and documents the completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system.
Communicates with city, county and state officials to ensure proper maintenance of permits and licenses.
Assists in the execution of capital projects and property rehabilitations.
Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.
Essential Job Functions
Direct all facets of Engineering and keep abreast of brand standards.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
Maintain preventative maintenance programs to protect assets.
Investigate, analyze, and report on all incidents and accidents.
Coordinate with local and federal law enforcement agencies, fire companies and insurance agencies.
Submit recommendations for changes and improvements to the Chief Engineer.
Communicate effectively with department heads to respond to maintenance needs.
Conduct 90‑day and annual performance evaluations for engineering staff.
Guest Satisfaction
Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction and builds long‑term mutually beneficial relationships.
Responds to guest problems and complaints efficiently.
Participates in corrective action plan development.
Leadership & Team Development
Demonstrates commitment to Driftwood Hospitality operating principles.
Maintains open communication channels and monitors employee relations.
Proactively identifies and develops talent within the organization.
Manages employee disciplinary procedures and ensures policies are administered fairly.
Celebrates successes and publicly recognizes contributions of team members.
