Strategic Account Executive – National Accounts (Remote: Los Angeles, Boston, or San Francisco) Our client is a fast-growing, globally backed industrial solutions organization is seeking a
Strategic Account Executive (SAE)
to manage and expand a select group of
high-value national accounts . These accounts either currently generate, or have the clear potential to generate,
$1M+ in annual revenue . This is a senior, high-impact role focused on
long-term account ownership , executive-level relationships, and multi-site customer strategy across North America. The SAE serves as the primary point of contact for all customer locations, aligning commercial strategy, contracts, and execution while ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.
The role is remote, with candidates based in
Los Angeles, Boston, or the San Francisco Bay Area , and includes regular travel.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Own and grow a portfolio of national strategic accounts with $1M+ revenue or potential, including expansion, new program capture, and long-term contract development
Build and maintain senior-level relationships across engineering, supply chain, procurement, operations, and executive leadership
Identify, qualify, and advance large-scale projects and multi-location opportunities across customer organizations
Negotiate and manage national and/or global commercial agreements in alignment with customer and company objectives
Coordinate closely with internal customer service, supply chain, product, and business unit teams to ensure successful execution and customer satisfaction
Oversee solution delivery, contract rollouts, and issue resolution to protect revenue and strengthen long-term partnerships
Track and coordinate intercompany initiatives, contract manufacturing activity, and cross-regional sales efforts to ensure full opportunity capture
Market & Industry Focus
Target industries include Medical, Warehouse Automation, EV and Battery Manufacturing, Semiconductor, Aerospace, and other high-growth industrial sectors
Develop and maintain deep knowledge in one or more focus industries to support strategic conversations and opportunity identification
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies; share insights with sales leadership and cross-functional teams
Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and select customer engagements
Identify startups, underpenetrated accounts, and cross-industry opportunities that meet strategic account criteria
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline (preferred)
Strong mechanical or engineered-product background
Proven success growing complex, high-value accounts with large, multi-site customers
Ability to engage and influence stakeholders from engineering through executive and C-level leadership
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Comfortable managing multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously without losing attention to detail
Experience using CRM tools to manage opportunities and account strategy
Strong cross-functional collaborator with a customer-first mindset
Willingness to travel as required to support national accounts
