Job Description The Retail Director is responsible for the coordination and development of the Retail Sales and Merchandising Organization for the market/team. They must be able to lead, manage, and coach Retail Sales Managers and Unit Managers to ensure the sales and merchandising objectives of the company and its clients are achieved.

The Retail Director manages Retail Sales Managers so that the retail teams achieve the goals and objectives set by the clients. Success is measured by the ability to manage Retail Sales Managers and their teams efficiently while positively impacting sales within the region. The role manages direct reports.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to District Sales Managers and sales representatives in meeting or exceeding client goals.

Develop strategic territory coverage plans and manage sales activity standards and reporting procedures.

Ensure product distribution of all authorized manufacturer products.

Maintain the retail reporting platform for the retail sales team and enter objectives at client request.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

5 years of consumer‑packaged goods experience, including essential account management.

Experience in sales, marketing, merchandising, and administration.

Good office and time management skills.

Ability to exercise influence over people.

Strong prioritization of multiple demands simultaneously.

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.

Proven analytical ability with strong attention to detail.

Assertive, decisive, creative, team‑player, and sense of urgency.

Negotiation skills and ability to delegate.

Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Valid driver’s license.
