Assistant Program Director
Department: Academic Administration
Overall Responsibilities:
Responsible for the site supervision, development, planning, coordination, organization, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing program activities; Assists the Administrative Nursing Director and Chief Academic Officer in various aspects of the overall program and implementing special projects.
Job Responsibilities
Plans, develops, manages, updates, evaluates program
Prepares reports for state/BVNPT requirements, surveys, site visits
Reports faculty terminations to BVNPT within 10 days
Develops/implements policies/procedures
Oversees admissions/orientation
Builds/maintains clinical partnerships
Evaluates clinical sites for safety, staffing, objectives
Updates/maintains clinical contracts
Recruits, hires, orients faculty
Assigns/schedules faculty to courses/sites
Monitors instruction; leads reviews/planning
Verifies graduation/licensing requirements
Plans/implements Advisory meetings
Stays current on state VN regulations
Requires 50% teaching
Qualifications
Active CA RN license
Baccalaureate degree
3+ years RN experience (1 year teaching/supervision in last 5 years or 3 years admin/education)
Course in administration, teaching, curriculum
Salary Annual Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 USD
