SMX is seeking a temporary Intelligence Planner to support operational planning and analysis, including joint intelligence preparation of the environment (JIPOE) and enemy course of action (ECOA) development. The position requires deep regional expertise across political, military, economic, social, infrastructure, and information (PMESII). The Intel Operational Planner will be fully integrated in the command and provide support to the development of SOCPAC’s supporting plans such as Operational Plans (OPLANs), Concept Plans (CONPLANs), Base Plans (BPlans), Commander’s Estimates, Crisis planning, Strategy, and Campaign Support Plan (CSP). The role will synchronize and coordinate with regional/country desk officers, forward‑deployed personnel, planners, and interagency partners.
This is a temporary position.
This position requires a DoD Top Secret with SCI eligibility, which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.
This position is located onsite in Camp Smith, Aiea, Hawaii.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide intelligence support and input to OPLANs/CONPLANs, MICON, CONOPs, Annex B, and crisis development at strategic, operational, and tactical levels.
Coordinate and collaborate with USINDOPACOM, USINDOPACOM service components, USSOCOM, U.S. Forces Korea (USFK), U.S. Forces Japan (USFJ) and Special Operations Command Korea (SOCKOR) for SOFintel requirements to inform SOCPAC’s supporting plans.
Participate in OPLAN and CONPLAN‑related war games, Joint Planning Groups (JPGs), crisis action planning teams, exercises, conferences, and other efforts, as required.
Conduct in‑depth research using classified and unclassified data sources to locate and analyze available intelligence in support of SOCPAC requirements.
CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience providing intel support to SOF units / commands.
Intel Planning Course I/II Completion.
Desired Skills & Experience
ILE or service‑equivalent graduate.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Indo‑Pacific AOR experience at the operational and strategic level.
