Controls Engineer Responsibilities
Understand AC/DC control systems and read component cut sheets. Assist in designing and delivering successful control systems. Support in designing and developing layouts for electrical circuits or systems for power and control distribution. Assist in the production of detailed schematics. Support the Systems Checklist for projects during field installation and startup. Develop electrical diagrams with varying levels of efficiency and locate and correct mistakes found in electrical diagrams. Essential Skills
Proficiency in PLC programming and controls engineering. Experience with AutoCAD for design purposes. Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with PLC and HMI systems. Ability to commission systems effectively. Networking knowledge. Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field. 5+ years of experience in the field or in controls engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Plan/hardware design skills. Basic knowledge of electrical equipment and local building codes such as UL508a, NEC, and NFPA. Hands‑on mechanical and electrical capabilities. Experience in material handling. Understanding of VFDs, servos, sensors, and vision systems. Work Environment
The work environment is a combination of office work and fieldwork, with travel required 50% or more of the time on a 10‑4 rotation schedule.
