Job Summary Director – Industrial Water (Staff, Full‑time, Relocation Eligible: No, Visa Sponsorship: Yes).
Key Responsibilities
Lead business development initiatives: marketing, strategy, prospect identification, proposal development, client presentations, project budgeting and contracting.
Accountable for new business objectives and overall project performance.
Engage with clients and promote Black & Veatch through client and community activities.
Support market business plans and client engagement strategies.
Oversee engineering managers, set project performance goals and ensure implementation.
Manage internal project teams and owner project representatives on activities.
Perform performance and commercial management of projects; budgeting, invoicing, payments, and lead project performance reviews.
Develop and mentor staff; recommend training, promotions, and identify new candidates.
Preferred Qualifications
20+ years of active water/wastewater experience with demonstrated leadership in the industrial sector.
Professional Engineering license; Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
Understanding of budgets and financial metrics.
Contract negotiation skills and knowledge of terms, risks, pricing and payment terms.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Other Requirements Applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements including a criminal/civil background check, drug screen and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Compensation PMT: Project Management. Salary Grade 021.
