Overview
Nordstrom has an exciting opportunity on the HR Operations & Analytics Program Management team for a Senior Technical Program Manager (PMT Sr.) to drive initiatives that deliver significant value to Nordstrom and our employees. The role reports to the Sr Manager, Program Mgmt for Tech HR Ops & Analytics. Our team is responsible for delivering on the Nordstrom vision to be as renowned for our employee experience as we are for our customer experience. Responsibilities
Consult internal partners on effective utilization of technology to support their processes Support Workforce Management teams by enabling and optimizing Workday Scheduling and Labor Optimization tools Partner with non-technical and technical stakeholders to support initiatives connected to artificial intelligence, including evaluating AI-driven tools and enabling responsible adoption across HR functions Hold HR and Technology stakeholders accountable to design principles Collaborate with technology teams and business leaders to enable core capabilities and deliver business value Present demos, status updates and risk/mitigation strategies and communicate down the pyramid through VP level Support key stakeholders through combined status updates of cross-organization programs/projects to drive process improvements and decision making Manage stakeholder expectations while supporting governance and service delivery model Define and evaluate tool needs with HR and non-HR groups to ensure efficiency in processes and data integrity across all systems Own project intake & prioritization and roadmap execution for HR technology and analytics related initiatives Own process design for system-related processes and ensure actionable & clear system requirements are gathered, user acceptance testing plans are developed, and successful roll outs of initiatives occur Prioritize feature opportunities and develop backlog, supporting the roadmap Deliver high-impact and complex programs by driving the intake of requests, defining, and analyzing requirements, and executing integrated plans across multiple teams Engage with vendors to influence SaaS product roadmap Benchmark with industry peers Utilize research and usability sessions to validate feature design Drive technical and non-technical root cause analysis for underperforming business KPIs Manage special projects and perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications
5+ years of successful program, project, or product management experience with demonstrated successful delivery of SaaS solutions 4+ years of HRIS and/or Workforce Scheduling & Labor Optimization tool experience in a large corporate environment 3+ years of configuration-level Workday experience (HCM & Scheduling) preferred Experience managing stakeholder relationships Understanding of AI technologies and their application within HR, including evaluating and enabling responsible use of AI-driven tools and platforms A proven track record of consistent and measurable delivery of large cross-functional and high-profile initiatives Strong technical knowledge with experience managing technical initiatives that span several teams and functional areas Familiarity with agile development frameworks and tools (e.g., Jira) Possess a strong level of knowledge of technology (e.g., Cloud, APIs, services, Windows stack, database technologies, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees across all organizational levels, including communicating with technical & non-technical audiences Organizational and planning skills, including being able to work reliably and efficiently under demanding deadlines with minimal supervision and to self-manage projects Location
This is a hybrid role requiring the selected candidate to work onsite four (4) days per week and live within a commutable distance of Nordstrom’s corporate offices in Seattle, WA. Benefits
