Our client, a leader in oil & gas industry, is hiring an Electrical Designer to join their team in Houston, TX As the Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for leading the design and preparation of detailed electrical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD software and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality design packages for construction and as-built projects. Responsibilities
Conduct field investigations, gather data, and produce field reports
with detailed sketches as needed. Perform QA/QC reviews
to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with company standards. Utilize the company's document management system
to organize and manage project documentation. Develop and recommend design standard improvements
to enhance quality and control costs. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior designers and drafters. Ensure all deliverables are prepared and issued in alignment
with company processes (IFA, IFB, IFC). Desired Skills
Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience
is required. Minimum of 10 years' electrical design experience , preferably in refinery, plant, tank terminals, and/or multi-modal facilities (rail, barge, truck). Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
and knowledge of current CAD standards and design techniques. Experience using Windows operating systems and document management systems
(such as Blue Cielo Meridian). Strong understanding of material nomenclature, industry terminology, P&IDs, and symbology. Familiarity with Allen Bradley ControlLogix 1756 and Ethernet IP protocols
