As the Indirect Tax, Senior Analyst, you will report to the Global Director of Indirect Tax to support our growth globally. This role will be responsible for the daily global indirect tax compliance which includes US Sales and Use Tax, Canada GST, VAT and other taxes. You will perform hands‑on preparation and review of compliance filings, own monthly tax accounting and reconciliation, and actively participate in system testing and audit support. This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated tax expert looking to significantly enhance their technical skills while making a substantial impact in a fast‑paced environment.

This full‑time role is on a hybrid schedule based in our San Mateo, California office.

You Will:

Prepare and review monthly and quarterly global Indirect tax returns

Manage a detailed tax filing calendar to ensure all jurisdictional deadlines are met

Coordinate with third‑party service providers for data exchange, review of prepared returns, and timely remittance of tax payments

Execute data uploads, reconcile reports, manage large amounts of electronic data, and identify data patterns and issues.

Prepare journal entries and detailed support for monthly sales and use tax accruals and payments

Assist with quarterly ASC 450 calculations and supporting documentation

Reconcile all indirect tax accounts and systems

Research, resolve, and document routine and complex tax notices from state and local authorities

Gather, organize, and analyze data to support internal and external SUT audits

Participate in indirect tax transformation projects, with a focus on system testing, data validation, and documentation

Provide ad‑hoc support for other global tax initiatives, including VAT, GST, etc.

You Have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a CPA preferred

4+ years of indirect tax experience with a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department

Technical knowledge of sales and use tax and global VAT/GST systems, and relevant industry experience handling indirect tax with digital products and e‑commerce

Broad‑based understanding of tax and accounting fundamentals and related processes

Deep analytical and problem‑solving skills with a strong interest in technology and its use in business processes

Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis

Power BI, Alteryx or other automation tools

High attention to detail to complete projects and meet deadlines

Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Annual Salary Range

$124,550 — $152,570 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
