Overview
The Kansas City, MO office of Lewis Brisbois, a full‑service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an experienced attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice.
Responsibilities The ideal attorney will be responsible for extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel within all aspects of labor and employment law. Key tasks include drafting and responding to discovery, initial pleadings, motions, and taking and defending depositions.
The successful candidate will be a self‑starter who can work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications • Admitted to practice in Missouri and have 3 to 15 years of experience in employment law matters.
• Prior employment litigation experience is required, preferably on the management side.
• Employment counseling or in‑house employment law experience is preferred.
• Strong writing and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
