Acara Solutions is hiring a Senior Semiconductor Process Engineer for our Newport Beach client's Dry Etch department. This is a full-time direct hire position with great benefits.
Overview Sustain, improve, and develop etch processes in a volume manufacturing facility. Partner with Operations, Equipment Engineering Support, Integration, and R&D to deliver products on time to customer specification. Interface with global counterparts to benchmark and improve etch processes and procedures company wide. Create and/or modify operations specifications.
Responsibilities
Sustaining and improving etch processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Monitoring and controlling etch processes, troubleshooting yield problems, developing process enhancements, and implementing new processes to address quality and bottleneck situations.
Installing and qualifying new tools and process technologies.
Supporting process and technology transfers.
Participating in troubleshooting taskforces as needed and helping develop solutions that prevent recurrence.
Supporting Integration team and Quality organization to ensure technologies meet all qualification and reliability requirements.
Using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma processes.
Required Skills / Qualifications Either B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant engineering or physical science discipline is required.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
Prefer minimum 5 years etch process engineering experience with B.S. Degree or 3 years' experience with advanced degree.
Demonstrated expertise with TEL Unity, AMAT DPS, MXP and/or LAM2300, 9400, 9600 etch tools and processes.
Demonstrated expertise with Akrion, DNS, SEZ, and/or Semitool wet etch tools and processes.
Knowledge of PROMIS wip management software and JMP Statistical analysis software. Six Sigma certification.
Demonstrated knowledge of etch principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
Ability to execute definable portions of a project or lead own small projects.
Ability to use knowledge to provide solutions to a variety of difficult problems.
Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
Experience with design of experiment techniques and data analysis.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic, and self‑starter.
Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal.
