We are looking for a Captive Insurance Consultant (Manager) to focus on captive insurance tax engagements, feasibility and optimization projects, and tax consulting memos and opinions.
Your Key Responsibilities
Oversee preparation and delivery of captive insurance feasibility studies and utilization projects.
Prepare captive insurance tax consulting memos and tax opinions.
Manage client relationships, staffing, and economics of engagements.
Analyze engagement results to continually provide exceptional client service.
Skills and Attributes for Success To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor’s Degree
CPA or licensed attorney
Experience or knowledge of captive insurance companies
5–10 years of experience in accounting or taxation for insurance companies
Ideally, you will also have
Understanding of GAAP/statutory accounting principles
Basic understanding of ASC 740 / SSAP 101
Experience preparing tax returns
Experience in state and local taxation (state return compliance, state income tax accounting, state apportionment fundamentals)
Self‑motivation, critical thinking, eagerness to build a professional network
Ability to lead a team of professionals
Drive to identify new business opportunities for clients
