Overview Join Raytheon’s Systems Effectors: Processing, Guidance & Control Center as a Principal Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and optimize guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for missile programs. The role involves embedded software development, performance testing, and collaboration within an agile team.
What You Will Do
Develop, integrate, and test embedded tactical missile flight code.
Define and execute system‑level performance studies and analyses.
Lead agile backlog planning and metrics.
Guide and mentor engineering staff.
Support missile performance analysis, modeling, and Monte Carlo assessments.
Qualifications You Must Have
Minimum 8+ years relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or a related STEM field.
Experience in GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling & Simulation.
Engineering experience in missile system applications, including at least two of: digital/modern control systems, dynamics, Kalman filtering, Monte Carlo analysis, measurable system modeling, signal processing, V&V, GPS/INS navigation, APNT systems, MATLAB/Python/C/C++ programming, simulation or physical environment integration, technical team leadership.
Active Secret U.S. government security clearance required.
Qualifications We Prefer
Advanced degree in a related STEM discipline.
8+ years in GNC, Signal Processing or Modeling & Simulation.
Strong communication with executive leadership.
Experience balancing multiple priorities in Agile.
Subject matter expert in RF algorithm design, GNC, autopilot, or simulation software.
Demonstrated systems engineering achievement in product development.
