Are you a dynamic sales leader with a passion for digital media and a proven track record of driving significant revenue growth? We’re looking for an experienced Director of Sales to lead East Coast sales efforts, managing a portfolio of key accounts and inspiring a high-performing team of sales managers.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in New York, NY and requires working from our office 3 days each week. Due to the nature of this role, there is an expectation to be comfortable working outside of a standard schedule from time to time for client needs and events. Travel is required on an as‑needed basis to meet with clients, attend events, and collaborate with your team.
Key Responsibilities
Directly manage, motivate, and develop a team of sales managers, fostering a collaborative and results‑driven environment; provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities. Achieve and exceed aggressive sales targets by managing and growing a portfolio of key consumer accounts across the East Coast (New York, Boston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, etc.). Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our client base within target categories. Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies for top‑tier clients across the following sectors:
Technology Automotive Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Alcohol Telecommunications Government & Federal Agencies Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs) Retail Pharma
Cultivate and nurture strong, lasting relationships with key decision‑makers and stakeholders at client organizations and agencies. Contribute to and execute the overall sales strategy for the consumer vertical, identifying market trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for innovation. Become a subject matter expert in our digital media offerings and the specific needs of clients within your assigned categories. Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product, and operations to ensure seamless campaign execution and client satisfaction. Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market insights to senior leadership. Travel as needed to meet with clients, entertain and support sellers with client outings, attend industry events, and collaborate with your team. Job Qualifications
Must‑Haves:
Minimum of 6+ years in digital media sales with at least 4 years in a leadership or management role, successfully leading and developing sales teams. Deep understanding of the digital media landscape, including display, video, branded content, social first, commerce, programmatic, and emerging ad technologies. Demonstrated history of consistently exceeding sales quotas and driving significant revenue growth. Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with business objectives and market opportunities. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and persuasively. Natural rapport and trust building with clients and colleagues; a strong network. Enthusiastic and innovative mindset, always seeking new ways to solve problems and create value. Comfortable with frequent travel, managing client relationships on a national level and teams based in NY. Proactive, self‑motivated, and possess a strong sense of urgency; thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Category knowledge in Technology, Automotive, CPG, Alcohol, Telecommunications, Government & Federal Agencies, QSRs, or Retail sectors is a plus; knowledge of the gaming and entertainment industry is also a plus.
