Director, Consumer Sales

IGN Entertainment , a division of Ziff Davis, as a dynamic digital media sales leader to drive revenue growth across the East Coast. This role requires an experienced Director of Sales who can inspire a high-performing team, manage key accounts, and shape the sales strategy for our digital media portfolio.
Location & Work Mode New York, NY – full‑time hybrid (office three days per week, remote otherwise). Frequent travel to client events and industry conferences is required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead & Mentor: Manage, coach, and develop a team of sales managers.
Drive Revenue Growth: Exceed aggressive sales targets across key consumer accounts.
Strategic Account Management: Develop account strategies for top‑tier clients in Technology, Automotive, CPG, Alcohol, Telecommunications, Government & Federal Agencies, QSRs, Retail, Pharma.
Relationship Building: Build lasting relationships with decision‑makers and stakeholders.
Sales Strategy & Execution: Contribute to the overall consumer sales strategy and execute it.
Market Expertise: Become a subject‑matter expert in our digital media offerings.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, product, and operations to ensure client satisfaction.
Reporting & Forecasting: Provide accurate forecasts, pipeline reports, and market insights.
Travel: Attend client meetings, industry events, and support the team as needed.
Qualifications
6+ years of digital media sales experience, 4+ years of sales leadership.
Deep knowledge of digital media landscape (display, video, programmatic, etc.).
Proven record of exceeding sales quotas and driving revenue.
Strategic thinker who can align sales strategies with business goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective relationship builder with a strong network.
Innovative, proactive, and self‑motivated.
Willingness to travel nationwide.
Industry knowledge (Technology, Automotive, etc.) and gaming/entertainment knowledge are pluses.
Nice‑to‑Have
Experience with key sectors listed.
Knowledge of the gaming and entertainment industry.
Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $240,000 – $260,000.
