Introduction
Our client is a busy two‑doctor general practice located in Rockville, Maryland. The clinic provides comprehensive veterinary services for dogs and cats, with the option to see pocket pets if the veterinarian is interested. They offer wellness and preventative care, a variety of surgical procedures, dentistry, and holistic services such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, and cold laser therapy. Known for their loyal client base and strong community presence, they are looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to join their thriving and supportive team.
The practice is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The schedule for the role is negotiable, with flexibility for full‑time or part‑time arrangements. Weekend work is limited to a half‑day Saturday rotation, and there are no after‑hours or on‑call requirements.
Role Description and Responsibilities The role will involve delivering a mix of wellness, preventative, and sick‑pet care, with opportunities to perform surgery and dentistry, or to focus solely on medicine if preferred. The incoming veterinarian may choose to incorporate holistic medicine into their work, or focus entirely on traditional approaches. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, maintaining detailed medical records, and communicating effectively with clients. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with support available for professional development.
Team The team consists of two experienced veterinarians and a skilled group of support staff. They maintain a collaborative and friendly culture, focused on delivering high‑quality, compassionate care to every patient and building lasting relationships with clients.

Salary: $140,000 to $200,000 /yr base salary
