Location: Victor, NY
Employment Type: Full‑Time // HYBRID with 3 days / in office per week

REDCOM Laboratories, Inc., a U.S. company specializing in advanced strategic, operational, and tactical communication solutions, is looking for a detail‑oriented Director of Finance to join our finance team and contribute to our growth.
Position Summary This hands‑on Director‑level role combines traditional Controller/Accounting leadership with a heavy emphasis on cash management, budgeting, and financial decision‑making. You will support the full accounting/close process and serve as the company’s primary owner of cash, budget, tax, audit, and insurance.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Management & Treasury (Priority #1)
Own daily/weekly/13‑week cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
Manage all banking relationships, payment runs, AP/AR timing, credit lines, and collections
Proactively extend runway and recommend cost or cash‑flow actions to leadership
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Decision‑Making (Priority #2)
Lead annual budget process and monthly/quarterly re‑forecasts
Build and maintain driver‑based models; perform scenario planning
Partner with department heads on resource allocation, hiring plans, vendor contracts, and ROI analysis
Primary financial advisor to CEO on pricing, contracts, investments, and cost‑structure decisions
Accounting, Close, Tax & Audit
Oversee full month‑end close, reconciliations, flux analysis, and financial statement preparation
Manage external tax preparers and auditors; own tax strategy/provisioning and audit timelines
Final sign‑off authority on financial statements and compliance filings (federal, state, sales tax, 1099s, etc.)
Familiarity with cost accounting best practices
Insurance Renewals & Risk Management
Lead annual renewal process for all lines (GL, D&O, cyber, workers’ comp, property, etc.)
Prior hands‑on experience designing or managing self‑funded/self‑insured health plans (level‑funded, ASO, captives, stop‑loss, etc.)
Team & Systems
Support the Director, Accounting to manage 1–3 accounting/finance staff (AP, AR, staff accountant)
Drive process improvement within the GL and ERP systems (Epicor, etc.)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
4‑8+ years of progressive accounting & finance experience
Proven expertise in cash/treasury management, budgeting/forecasting, and month‑end close
Direct experience owning tax strategy, audit prep, and financial statement sign‑off
Comfort wearing both “strategic FP&A” and “technical accounting” hats in one role
Excellent financial modeling skills and systems implementation experience
Preferred Qualifications
CPA, CTP, CFM, FMT, ACT, CFT (or highly desired)
Prior success implementing or running self‑funded benefits programs
High degree of comfort and familiarity with an ERP system, including a GL system (Epicor)
